Each piece of horse hair pottery is uniquely designed and handcrafted. The designs are intrinsically different, making each its own, one-of-a-kind. The hair burns into a bisque giving each piece of pottery a beautiful marbled appearance.

All of my pottery is either wheel thrown, using a high fire clay or slip-cast, using low fire ceramics slip.

When the pieces become leather hard they are cleaned and trimmed.

It is then fired in my kiln at the appropriate temperature and cooled.

It is then re-fired. This is when the horses hair is carefully applied. I use the horse's tail and mane hair.

The pieces are then cleaned and polished, by hand waxing and/or using a non-fire sealer.
